Dr Gabriel Poboran has worked in Skin Cancer Medicine since 2004, achieving a Masters Degree in Skin Cancer Medicine, from the University of Queensland in 2010.
His medical degree MD(Buch) is from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest, Romania obtained in 1986.
Since then he has worked in Emergency Medicine and General Practice in Romania, South Africa and Australia where he has successfully completed the AMC examination.
Dr Gabriel Poboran was a lecturer in Emergency Medicine at the University of Queensland (UQ) in 2002 and 2003.
Dr Gabriel Poboran obtained a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand in 2009.
He also holds a certification in Photo Dynamic Therapy (PDT) treatment.
MoleScan Award was presented to Dr Gabriel Poboran in 2008.
Dr Gabriel Poboran is a member of the Skin Cancer Institute, fellow of the Skin Cancer Institute, member of
Skin Cancer College of Australasia as well as a member of the International Dermoscopy Society.
He is also an accredited Skin Cancer College Doctor.
His main interests are: early detection and diagnosis of skin cancers through dermoscopy, also known as skin microscopy, as well as skin cancers treatment, both surgical and non-surgical.
